Hlaska Shirt Packaging

A more manly way of shopping

For my gig at Hlaska, one of my many duties is collateral. As we were running out of traditional shopping bags, we took this as an opportunity to evaluate our intentions of the “bag.” Our founder, Anthony, was bred from the salt of Americana: optimism, honesty, exploration — the very keystones of design at Hlaska. He was keen to push me to make a more manly experience that was honest and true to our roots: US-made apparel that is designed here in California. I used French Paper Muscletone Kraft at #140 to create this custom-converted envelope reminiscent of a manilla envelope. It’s branded with our logo on the front, a small “Made in the USA” on the back, and it’s closed with a sticker that’s a replica of our clothing labels.
