Kyle and Melissa on their wedding day
Kyle Duford is an art director. He designs loads of print products including logos, identity systems, magazines, catalogs, advertising and more. He also does some web design and layout and helped launch three major modern media websites including Howcast.com, Examiner.com and Godspace.com. But Kyle was also the editor-in-chief of two triathlon magazines. Confused? Don’t be. Being an editor-in-chief is much like being an art director, wrangling the photo, design, and content teams into a unifying voice. It also gives him a leg up when working with copywriters—they can’t get much by him.
Kyle resides in the Rockridge neighborhood of Oakland, California. When he’s not working, you can typically find him running, exploring local food, or hanging out with his wife and three dogs.
